A Cheerful Heart
A cheerful heart walks all alone,
On village paths where peace is sown.
The morning sun begins to rise,
Its golden rays paint quiet skies.
No rush, no noise, no tasks to chase,
Just humming birds and nature’s grace.
The swaying grass, the gentle breeze,
A moment's joy, a soul at ease.
My beard is kissed by winds so kind,
With love and care and peace of mind.
With those I trust, both near and dear,
Who stay through storms and wipe each tear.
The nights are calm, the sleep is deep,
Where dreams can float and worries sleep.
And when I rise, I feel so bright,
With bursting joy and morning light.
My work feels true, it fills my need,
Not rushed by want, nor moved by greed.
It feeds my soul, not just my pay,
And keeps me smiling through the day.
So here I walk, both strong and free,
With heart that’s light as it can be.
No riches more I'd ever seek,
Than love, and peace, and life unique.
